Liam Blake
Fresh out of high school, Liam Blake is an extremely talented young guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer who creates and records his own original material, as well as a variety of re-imagined classics from times gone by. Liam writes across many genres, most consistently in the pop-rock style, where he shares pages from his own story, as well as the stories of those with whom he has had the pleasure of meeting and working with. His upbeat song ‘Once’ is about the beautiful and unexpected things that can happen, when people open up and be themselves with those around them.
Through Liam’s network, he has been able to perform at venues such as The Melbourne Recital Centre and Hamer Hall, as well as working alongside producers to help with technical aspects of film, television and live theatre and performance audio material.
A collection of unique and different stories influence Liam’s distinctive lyrical style, where he explores the concepts of social, political, educational and personal issues that are both current and engaging. Living in Melbourne, Liam has had access to an inspiring range of mentors, including David Herzog, of prominent 70’s band ‘Kush’, who is the owner of the studio where Liam records. David has significant influence in Liam’s musical taste and style. A plethora of musical experiences over his life so far has resulted in Liam’s aspirations to go global with his music, and take up the chance to offer the many lives and tales written and told in his songs for the world to enjoy.
